Privacy Policy

1. About ActionAlly

ActionAlly is your personal AI assistant that helps you structure your plans, organize tasks, and stay focused.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the ActionAlly app and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to personalize your experience and keep the app running smoothly.

a) Information you provide

  • Account details (name, email, password)
  • Plans, tasks, and preferences you set
  • Messages or chat interactions with your assistant
  • Calendar data from integrations you choose to connect for planning and scheduling features
  • Payment information (if you subscribe — processed securely via Stripe, Google, or Apple; we never store card details)

b) Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data (device type, OS version, app activity, performance logs)
  • Analytics data (for improving the app experience)

c) Optional information

  • Voice or text feedback (if you use voice or feedback features)
  • Connected calendars or integrations (if you link them — with your permission)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the app experience
  • Provide planning, task, and scheduling features you actively use
  • Sync your data securely across devices
  • Manage subscriptions and payments
  • Generate AI-assisted chat replies, planning suggestions, summaries, and optional nudges when you enable those features
  • Communicate service updates and tips
  • Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve reliability

We never sell or rent your personal data.

4. Sharing of Information

We only share information when necessary to:

  • Work with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payments)
  • Use OpenAI and DeepSeek as third-party AI processors only when you enable AI features and provide the required in-app consent, subject to the additional Google-specific restrictions described below for Google API data
  • Comply with law or protect our rights and users
  • Support continuity in case of a merger or acquisition (you’ll be notified if this happens)

All partners must follow strict privacy and security standards.

5. AI Data Sharing and Consent

ActionAlly uses OpenAI and DeepSeek to power optional AI features such as assistant replies, planning help, summaries, and certain optional nudges. Before we send personal data to those providers for those features, we ask for your explicit permission in the app.

  • Third-party AI providers: OpenAI and DeepSeek
  • Data that may be shared: the content you choose to use with AI features, including chat messages, plan and task details, drafts, and planning preferences
  • Purpose: generate the assistant response, planning support, summary, or other AI feature you explicitly requested or enabled
  • Control: you can withdraw consent at any time in the app Settings screen; turning consent off stops AI-powered sharing until you turn it back on
  • Restriction: we do not use personal data shared for these AI features to sell data, serve advertising, or train generalized models for our own use

We require our third-party processors to protect personal data under contractual confidentiality, security, and data-use restrictions consistent with this policy. Google Calendar data is subject to the additional limitations described in Section 6 below.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use

ActionAlly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • If you choose to connect Google Calendar, ActionAlly may access calendar metadata and event information such as calendar names, event titles, descriptions, locations, attendees, start and end times, and related scheduling metadata needed to show, create, update, or remove calendar events you ask ActionAlly to manage.
  • We use Google Calendar data only to provide user-facing features inside ActionAlly, such as showing your schedule context, helping you plan around existing commitments, and creating, updating, or deleting calendar events when you explicitly use those features.
  • We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
  • Google Calendar data obtained through Google APIs is not sent to DeepSeek. Where an ActionAlly AI feature needs Google Calendar context to answer your request or provide planning assistance, that Google-derived data is handled through a separate provider path subject to these Limited Use restrictions.
  • You can disconnect Google Calendar access at any time from the app settings or by removing ActionAlly's access from your Google account permissions.

7. Data Security

We use encryption (TLS and AES-256) and secure servers to protect your data.

Access is limited to authorized personnel only.

While we work hard to protect your information, no system is 100 percent secure — please use a strong password and keep it private.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

  • View, edit, or delete your profile in the app
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Withdraw access to linked accounts or integrations
  • Withdraw AI data-sharing consent in the app Settings screen
  • Remove ActionAlly's access from your connected Google account permissions
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us

9. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service or comply with law.

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children’s Privacy

ActionAlly is not intended for children under 13.

If we learn we’ve collected personal information from a child, we delete it immediately.

11. International Use

Your data may be processed on secure servers outside your country (e.g., South Africa or the EU).

We apply appropriate safeguards to ensure your privacy is protected under POPIA and GDPR standards.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally.

When major changes occur, we’ll notify you through the app or email.
